Carri Bindi Davis

Kambo Practitioner

Although this sacred Amazonian medicine has been used by indigenous tribes for over 2,000 years, Kambo is not yet widely understood or recognized by Western medicine.  Nonetheless, Carri has found deep healing for herself and others thanks to Kambo's purifying effects.

Since 2019 Carri has been serving Kambocito in both private sessions and group ceremonies. To date she has witnessed remarkable results in over 100 people who have received the benefits of experienced healer, Carri, facilitating this incomparable detox therapy.

What is Kambo

Kambo is an indigenous medicine from South America that has been used for over 2,000 years to help tribes overcome pathogens like poisonous insect bites, toxic plant exposure, viruses, parasites, and bacterial infections. Kambo was also used to heighten the senses of hunters, giving them sharper eyesight and keen hearing,  as well as detoxifying their bodies of human odors, which would warn animals of their presence.

Western science is beginning to study the effects of this medicine and trying to unravel the mystery of its complex ingredient list.  Amazingly the frog cannot produce this healing secretion in captivity and must be in its native environment to make the medicine, which tribespeople lovingly collect from the living animal in ceremony.

How Kambo Works

Laboratory studies have already identified several active amino acids and peptides in the skin secretion of the Phylomedusa Bicolor frog. This combination of chemicals apparently aids the body with pain relief and immune function, as well as immediately causing the body to eject toxins from the bloodstream and lymphatic system through a purging effect.

On a psycho-spiritual level, Kambo can facilitate purging negative emotions that cloud a person's judgment, such as fear, anger, frustration, and grief. This powerful medicine has also been used to heal addiction.

Is Kambo Safe?

Yes, Kambo is safe and effective when applied properly by a certified practitioner that has been trained in the facilitating process.

History of Kambo

2,000 years ago

1925

1980's

Today

The use of Kambo dates back at least 2000 years

The first western considerations of Kambo use were made by a French priest, Father Constantin Tastevin, in 1925 while staying with the Kaxinawa tribe in Brazil.

Kambo was first widely reported on in the West in 1986 by the neuroscience researcher and journalist Peter Gorman, who was spending time with the Matses tribe.

In the 1980s, an American anthropologist, Katherine Milton, observed Kambo use among the Mayoruna tribe in Brazil. Italian Scientist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Vittorio Erspamer of the University of Rome was the first to analyze Kambo in a laboratory in the 1980s. He described that Phyllomedusa bicolor contains a fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications unequaled by any other amphibian, a treasure trove of bioactive peptides. Different from countless other natural and pharmaceutical substances, Kambo has the facility to span the blood-brain barrier, allowing it to penetrate significantly into the body. This allows Kambo to promote support to areas usually challenging to access and extremely powerful in treating dis-ease.

Independent laboratory studies are being conducted as anecdotal evidence continues to support safe and efficient practice that leads to various health benefits.
